Belagavi, March 23: Women and Child Development Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar has avowed that the two pending installments of the Griha Lakshmi scheme will be released post-March 31, offering a much-needed boost to beneficiaries eagerly awaiting the funds.

In a candid statement, Hebbalkar also underlined the government’s dedication to Anganwadi workers. "During our tenure, we increased the honourarium of Anganwadi workers by Rs 2,000. Since then, no other government has made any further increments. This budget, however, announces an additional Rs 1,000 for workers and Rs 750 for assistants, which we will implement soon," she asserted.

Hebbalkar did not shy away from addressing the honeytrap case, calling it "unfortunate" and adding, "Rajanna has already shared his experience in the Assembly. The chief minister, deputy chief minister, and other ministers have responded to the issue. The home minister is handling it, and I don’t wish to comment further."

When asked about Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi’s remark that "only roaring tigers are being targeted and intimidated," Hebbalkar offered a sharp retort: "You should ask Satish about that."
