Adani Foundation grants Rs 20 lac to Manasa Special School for autism center infrastructure

Udupi, Mar 25: Adani Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) wing of the Adani Group, extended a grant-in-aid of Rs 20 lacs to Manasa Rehabilitation and training center, a school for special children, located in Pamboor, near Shirva of Udupi District, to support its infrastructure development involving setting up of computer data center, R&D center and establishment of autism center.

The grant-in-aid letter was formally handed over by Kishore Alva, executive director & president of Adani Group, to Henry Menezes, president and Dr Edward Lobo, founder president and managing trustee of Manasa Rehabilitation and training center in presence of Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves, vicar general Udupi diocese and office bearers of Manasa Rehabilitation and training center.

Speaking on the occasion, Kishore Alva said that at Adani, we strongly believe in empowering communities through meaningful CSR initiatives. Our partnership with Manasa Rehabilitation and Training Centre aligns with our vision of fostering an inclusive society. Adani Foundation is confident that these new facilities will significantly improve the quality of care and education for children with special needs. He also told that Manasa Rehabilitation and training centre has been a beacon of hope for children with disabilities, offering specialized training, therapeutic interventions, and inclusive education. He further informed that the infrastructure facilities at the new Autism Centre will cater to the growing needs of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), providing state-of-the-art facilities for early intervention, therapy, and education. He informed that special children should be provided with opportunities to thrive and ensure that they feel valued and included in society with love, education and empowerment.

Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves spoke on the occasion and welcomed the Adani Foundation’s initiative in delivering the CSR benefits to the rural sections of society. Applauding Adani Foundation’s contribution in the field of rural education, community health development initiatives and community infrastructure development initiatives Fr Ferdinand Gonsalves informed that the support made by Adani Foundation to Manasa Rehabilitation and training center will go a long way in illuminating the life of special children.

Dr Edward Lobo, founder president and trustee of Manasa Rehabilitation and training center expressed their gratitude, stating that the support from Adani Foundation will enable Manasa Rehabilitation and Training Centre to expand its services and reach more children in need. The new infrastructure will provide a conducive environment for learning, therapy, and research, ensuring holistic development for our students.

Henry Menezes, president of Manasa Rehabilitation and training center, thanked Adani Foundation for extending the support for the infrastructure facilities at autism center.
