Bahrain, Mar 25: Bunts Bahrain, the federation of the non-resident Bunt community in the region, recently organised a grand mass Shri Satyanarayana Pooja at the Kannada Bhavan auditorium in Manama. Over 500 devotees participated with deep devotion, engaging in the rituals and seeking divine blessings.

The pooja was the first major event under the leadership of the newly formed executive committee led by Dr Mithun Bhandary. To conduct the rituals in accordance with traditional practices, renowned Vedic scholar Vedamurthy Anil Acharya from Heriyadka was specially invited from India to officiate the ceremony.

Throughout the pooja, various bhajan groups performed devotional songs accompanied by musical instruments, creating an atmosphere of spiritual ecstasy for the attendees.

Dr Mithun Bhandary, president of Bunts Bahrain, along with other office bearers, community members, and invited guests, formally inaugurated the pooja with prayers and offerings. The rituals began with Sankalpa, followed by Ganapati Pooja, Kalasha Pooja, Navagraha Pooja, Shri Satyanarayana Vrat, bhajans, and the recitation of Shri Satyanarayana Katha, culminating in the grand Maha Mangalarati.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Mithun Bhandary expressed gratitude to all attendees and emphasized the importance of collective support in strengthening the community's unity and progress. As a token of appreciation, Vedamurthy Anil Acharya was honored with a shawl and a memento.

The event witnessed participation from presidents, office bearers, and members of various community organizations in Bahrain. Following the Maha Mangalarati, devotees received Theertha Prasada and Sapatha Bhakshya, after which a sumptuous Mahaprasada meal was served.

The event was eloquently compared by cultural secretary Yakshith Shetty.
