Beltangady, Mar 27: An electrical lineman from the Venoor branch of the Mescom sub-division in Beltangady was found dead under mysterious circumstances on Wednesday March 26.
The deceased, identified as Sudhakar, also known as Kitta (50), was a resident of Tumbe Gudde in Naravi. He was on duty when he was found lying in a water-filled drain near an electric transformer along the Andinje road.
Locals who noticed him immediately rushed him to the Venoor Primary Health Centre, where doctors confirmed his death. No external injuries were found on his body. The exact cause of death will be determined after a post-mortem examination.
Sudhakar was unmarried and is survived by his mother, a brother, and a sister.
