Kundapur: Two killed in head-on collision between car, two-wheeler

Kundapur, Mar 29: A tragic accident in Balkur on Friday evening claimed the lives of two two-wheeler riders after their vehicle collided head-on with a car.

The deceased are identified as Rajeev Shetty (55) and Sudheer Devadiga (35).

The accident occurred when a car traveling from Kandluru towards Kundapura collided with a scooter coming from BH near Basrur towards Kandluru. The impact threw both riders off their vehicle, causing severe injuries that led to their instant death.

The collision was so severe that both the front part of the car and the two-wheeler sustained extensive damage.

Kundapura traffic police and highway patrol personnel arrived at the scene to manage traffic and ensure smooth movement. A case has been registered at the Kundapura traffic police station.

DYSP H D Kulkarni, police inspector Nanjappa, and rural police station PSI Nuthan visited the accident site and conducted an inspection.

    It shows with which speed car was approaching or bycle was too fast?Too many vehicles on narrow road and cycle or two wheelers cows and buses on same road.Opposite traffic too.When will govt think of se for two wheelers or Heavy vehicles ?May the souls rest in peace.Govt must take the step of withdrawing licence of the person who caused accident with high speed.

    Udupi Karavali Bypass, Santhekatte, Brahmavara, Kundapura, Byndoor uptill Bhatkal... the national highway is too risky..., the turns & deviations from & to highway were too much confusing & risky...., Many precious lives are succumbed (both local & other state/district commuters)...
