Beltangady, Apr 6: Shraddha Shetty, a young talent from Eninje in Laila village of Beltangady taluk, has earned a coveted place in the India Book of Records for creating the largest flower rangoli.

Celebrated for her creativity and dedication to traditional art forms, Shraddha crafted the rangoli using a vibrant assortment of flowers, including kangulabi, jasmine, kesari, and yellow marigolds. The rangoli, which spanned 8 feet in width, was completed in just 1 hour and 40 minutes, capturing the attention and admiration of many.

The recognition was officially confirmed on February 3, 2025, but the official certificate reached Shraddha only on April 4, leading to joyous celebrations in her family and community.

Currently pursuing her BSc at SDM College, Shraddha expressed immense happiness over receiving this unique honor. She shared that being able to showcase traditional flower art on such a platform was a matter of pride and fulfillment.

Her achievement is being seen as not just a personal milestone but also a tribute to the rich cultural heritage of the region.
