Mumbai, Apr 8: In a move that has set social media abuzz, actor Babil Khan, son of late Bollywood icon Irrfan Khan, left netizens puzzled after he posted a cryptic Instagram story urging followers to ‘Unfollow Pratyush’.

The viral post, which featured a visibly upset Babil, appeared to target a certain Pratyush Dua, an influencer many online users couldn't identify. In his video message, Babil expressed frustration over the current digital culture, saying, "I hate the word content now. It's hard to tell whether we're consuming content or content is consuming us."

He further added, "Take this guy Pratyush Dua he's popular, has followers, fine. But there’s a line, and you just don’t cross it."

Following the post, many social media users and Reddit communities began searching for Dua’s profile, only to find no verified account under the name, leading to speculation that the entire episode could be a publicity stunt.

The timing of the post has drawn attention to Babil’s upcoming ZEE5 film ‘Logout’, which is set to premiere on April 18. Directed by Amit Golani and written by Biswapati Sarkar, the film explores themes of online addiction, digital burnout, and virtual identity crises.

Produced by Digital 18 Media Pvt Ltd and Posham Pa Pictures, ‘Logout’ also stars Rasika Dugal, Nimisha Nair, and Gandharv Dewan. The film has already made waves on the international film festival circuit, featuring at Stuttgart, Melbourne, Florence, and Mal Del Plata festivals.

While some believe the "Unfollow Pratyush" message is part of a clever promotional campaign, it has undoubtedly drawn attention to the deeper message the film intends to portray.
