Mumbai, Apr 18: Popular television actor Fahmaan Khan feels that male characters on Indian television are finally getting their due in terms of emotional depth and relatability.

In a candid conversation, Fahmaan said, “Yeah, I think so. There is a more human touch to male characters now.” Reflecting on his recent role as Ranbir Singh Bajwa, he shared, “It was a very human character. Even the ones I played earlier were layered with emotion, depth and truth. When that happens, people connect more.”

Fahmaan hopes the trend continues. “It has started, but it should happen more. Both male and female characters deserve the same emotional depth so the audience can relate to them equally,” he added.

The actor, who started his career as a model, stepped into television with a cameo in Yeh Vaada Raha in 2015, followed by Kundali Bhagya in 2018. He later appeared in popular shows like Kya Qusoor Hai Amala Ka, Ishq Mein Marjawan, and Mere Dad Ki Dulhan. His breakthrough came with lead roles in Apna Time Bhi Aayega, Imlie, Pyar Ke Saat Vachan Dharampatnii, Krishna Mohini, and his latest, Iss Ishq Ka Rabb Rakha.

His current show explores the story of Ranbir, a proud Sardar, who falls in love with Meghla, a Bengali girl and the cultural clashes that follow when their families meet.
