Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy's 'Sahitya Sambhram' celebrated with grandeur

Mangaluru, Apr 28: The Sahitya Sambhram program organized by the Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy was celebrated with great enthusiasm and grandeur.

The program was presided over by Joachim Stany Alvares, president of the Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy, who delivered the welcome address and an introductory speech.

Renowned journalist and former editor of Amchi Mai magazine, Fr Francis D'Souza, inaugurated the event. In his speech, he praised the Academy for organizing literary programs across different places, thereby reinforcing its presence among the Konkani-speaking community. He commended the Academy's efforts to contribute meaningfully to the holistic development of the Konkani language through such initiatives.

Senior writer Dolphy F Lobo shared his thoughts and insights on the Konkani language and literature.

Following this, veteran writer Marcel D'Souza (popularly known as Maccha Milar) conducted an interactive session with the audience.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Janet D'Souza. Academy member Ronald Crasta compared the event.
