Kadaba, May 10: A 34-year-old man was allegedly murdered with a wooden club during a family dispute in Nelyadi village under Kadaba taluk on the night of May 9.

According to a complaint filed by Charan Kumar (37), a resident of Nelyadi village, the incident involved a quarrel between his younger brother Sharath Kumar (34) and the children of their paternal uncle Janardhan Gowda, which had reportedly been ongoing over trivial issues for several days.

On May 8, a verbal altercation occurred between Sharath and members of his uncle’s household. The following day, on May 9, around 8.00 to 8.30 pm, Sharath reportedly went to his uncle’s residence in the Maderi area of Nelyadi and began hurling abuses at Satish, the son of Janardhan Gowda, from the courtyard.

At that time, Hariprasad, who had been in the plantation, allegedly arrived at the scene and struck Sharath on the head with a wooden club. When Sharath collapsed in the courtyard, Hariprasad is said to have assaulted him again, resulting in his death.

A case has been registered at Uppinangady police station under IPC Section 103(1) as per Indian Penal Code 2023, with Crime No: 38/2025.

Superintendent of Police Yathish N, IPS, visited the crime scene and issued necessary directions for the investigation.

So sad.Self justice is always bad. When something is wrong and cant solve it self.then kindly go to a elderone in village,a priest whoever is or Police. But not self justice.May his soul rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathies to his family. Now nobody will be happy with this.
