Bantwal, May 20: In a case involving the robbery of a Maharashtra-based businessman by intercepting his car, police have arrested eight individuals, while three others have reportedly fled abroad.
One of the accused, Mohammad Issam, is a resident of Kepu Kallangala. On Tuesday, Karwar police, with the cooperation of Vittal police, carried out an investigation at Issam’s residence.
According to police sources, a total of 11 people are suspected to have been involved in the case. While eight have been apprehended, three have managed to escape overseas.

Police, acting on a search warrant, conducted an extensive search of Issam’s residence on May 20. The operation lasted for about two hours, during which officers searched for evidence and collected key information.
They reportedly gathered details regarding Issam’s communication with his family and other relevant data as part of the ongoing investigation.
The police are continuing their efforts to locate the three absconding suspects and further unravel the full extent of the crime.
