New Delhi, May 24: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair a crucial NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting on Saturday at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital. This is the first major interaction between the PM and Chief Ministers since Operation Sindoor, which dismantled nine terror camps in Pakistan and PoK.

The meeting, themed ‘Viksit Rajya for Viksit Bharat@2047’, aims to align state efforts with the national goal of making India a developed nation by its 100th year of Independence.

NITI Aayog highlighted the importance of cooperative federalism and urged states to formulate long-term, inclusive, and locally grounded vision documents. Focus areas include economic growth, sustainability, human development, governance reforms, and technology-driven strategies.

The Centre and states will also deliberate on entrepreneurship, skilling, and sustainable employment. Six key themes from the National Chief Secretaries’ Conference ranging from MSME growth to green economy opportunities will be discussed.

Amid global economic headwinds, India’s growth is projected between 6.2% and 6.7% this fiscal, with NITI Aayog working on a roadmap to transform India into a $30 trillion economy by 2047.
