Mangalore, Jan 25: "Dr Prabhakar Bhat who made statements against another community was expressing his views on those who were hurting the sentiments of people of Hindu community. There was nothing wrong and the party stands by his statements," asserted K Monappa Bhandary, district BJP spokesperson.

He was addressing reporters at a press conference held at district BJP office here on Wednesday January 25.

"People of minority communities live with integrity with majority community in the mainstream, but the Congress party which calls itself ‘secular’ is trying to divide the society," he said.

"RSS has been fighting against all social evils since its inception 86 years ago. Hindu Samajotsavas have been conducted to safeguard the religious and cultural richness of the land. In turn, the Congress party has been provoking a few youths from the minority to evoke disturbance in the society," he alleged.

He also said that the party will hold a protest condemning the FIR registered against Dr Prabhakar Bhat. MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik, Nitin Kumar among others were present.

Mangalore, Jan 25: The RSS has deliberately tried to create communal disturbance in the coastal region, with the intention of gaining political mileage as the Udupi-Chikamagalur Lok Sabha election is nearing," alleged KPCC general secretary Ivan D’souza.

He was addressing reporters at a press meet convened by city block Congress unit on Wednesday January 25.

He said that to protest all such moves by the RSS, a protest will be held in front of DC’s office on Friday January 27 at 3 pm.

Also, on the same day, a simultaneous protest will be held in Bantwal under the leadership of MLA Ramanath Rai.

He alleged that district in-charge minister Krishna J Palemar being in a responsible post had forgotten his duty. "He is interfering in the investigation and putting pressure to withdrawal the FIR against Dr Bhat. This is failure of the district administration and the police department," he said.

Praveenchandra Alva, the block president of Mangalore South Youth Congress, former mayor Ashraf among others were present.

We need more people like Dr. Bhat...This is a classic example of TRUTH HURTS....whenever someone tries to bring up such true issues with regards to minority, there is a lot of criticism by them....no country in the world gives as much as freedom as Indian minorities get in INDIA which unfortunately is being misused by the minorities

If Monappa thinks Prabhakar Bhat can express His views, whether they are correct or not. Then every Citizen of this Great Nation can express their views and create chaos in every corner of the nation.
