Mumbai, Jun 11: Marking two decades in the music industry, Indian Idol Season 1 winner Abhijeet Sawant has released his latest Marathi track titled ‘Paisa Themba Themba Gala’, offering fans a nostalgic yet contemporary musical experience. The song is a vibrant fusion that pays homage to the legendary Dada Kondke’s evergreen hit ‘Dhagala Lagali Kala’, while also infusing modern elements like upbeat rap and catchy rhythms.

The singer, whose recent release ‘Chaal Turu Turu’ has crossed five million views on YouTube and sparked nearly a lakh reels on Instagram, expressed his excitement about the new track. “Paisa Themba Themba Gala carries the energy of Dada Kondke’s classic but with a modern twist that blends traditional beats with contemporary rap by 100RBH (Saurabh Abhyankar),” Abhijeet shared.

Produced by Saregama, the song is being described as a “banger” aimed at Marathi audiences, promising to be a treat for both old-school music lovers and the digital generation. “It’s a fusion that surprises and delights, a celebration of old melodies reborn with new-age flair,” he added.

Abhijeet, who rose to national fame after winning Indian Idol in 2005, has continued to evolve as a singer and performer. His musical journey includes popular albums like Aapka Abhijeet Sawant, Junoon, and Farida, and notable playback tracks in Bollywood films.
