Mangaluru, Jun 12: Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru, successfully conducted the orientation programme for the parents of grades I to V on June 11 and 12, 2025, marking the beginning of the academic year 2025–26. The programme was designed to warmly welcome parents, familiarize them with school policies, and foster strong home–school collaboration.

Each day’s session commenced with a prayer, setting a reflective and positive tone. The students of grade 2 presented a delightful welcome performance on June 11th, after which principal Sr Melissa extended a cordial welcome to the gathering. In her address, she highlighted the crucial role of parents in a child’s all-round development and shared valuable insights on contemporary parenting practices.

The sessions were compeered gracefully by Tr Jacqueline and Tr Laveena, ensuring a seamless flow of the programme.

The teaching faculty provided a comprehensive overview of the curriculum, pedagogical approaches, classroom routines, and assessment methods. Tr Jenitha outlined the general guidelines, while subject and co-curricular teachers introduced their respective domains. Tr Neesha and Tr Reshma elaborated on the assessment structure and upcoming activities for the year.

Parents participated actively during the interactive sessions, voicing their queries and suggestions, which contributed to a meaningful exchange.

The programme concluded with heartfelt words of appreciation - Sr Asha Prima delivered the vote of thanks on the first day and Sr Reshma on the second, acknowledging the parents’ enthusiastic presence and ongoing support.
