Green Park Central School Hiriadka inaugurates student parliament

Udupi, Jun 30: The Student Parliament for the academic year 2025-26 was inaugurated at Green Park Central School, Hiriadka.

Parameshwar A Hegde, Udupi district additional superintendent of police, inaugurated the student parliament. Speaking on the occasion, he said, “The student parliament is a great platform to learn leadership, discipline, and commitment. Through this, if students develop their personality, they can grow into better citizens in the future.”







Parameshwar A Hegde further added, “What we need to observe in the present times is that many students are ruining their lives by not walking on the right path. Today, I noticed that this parliament has also created a unique post called ‘Minister of happiness’, which is indeed innovative.” He wished all the students success.

Retired Indian army soldier Upendra Wagle participated as a guest and pinned badges to the student ministers.

School principal Clarine Nicholas administered the oath to the office bearers of the parliament.

Student Dhanushree welcomed the gathering. Uttam and Sanvi Shettigar introduced the guests, Devika Wagle and Agam Shetty compered the programme, and Abhinav Prasanna proposed a vote of thanks.

On this occasion, vice principal Jayashree Tendulkar, administrator Shekhar Gujjarbettu, office manager Amitha Hegde, and coordinators Usha Rao, Geetha Bhatt and others were present.
