New York, Jul 18: The Big Red Machine has spoken. Glenn Jacobs, better known to millions of wrestling fans as Kane, has finally addressed growing speculation surrounding his return to WWE after nearly four years of absence from in-ring action.
Kane, last seen during the 2021 Royal Rumble, has remained one of the most iconic and respected figures in professional wrestling. Despite fans clamouring for a farewell match or a surprise return, the WWE legend offered a candid, no-nonsense response during a recent interview with SEScoops.
“[Laughs] I don't know about that, man... Brother, we were just talking about athleticism and movement and keeping up with the pace of people nowadays. That may have left me behind, guys,” said Kane, giving a subtle yet blunt hint that his wrestling boots may be retired for good.
Over his legendary career, Kane has held the WWE Championship, World Heavyweight Title, and even the ECW World Championship. Known for his terrifying persona, fire-filled entrances, and unmatched resilience, Kane’s legacy continues to loom large in WWE history. Many believe such a towering career deserves a grand farewell, but the path to that seems uncertain as the WWE evolves with younger, faster talent.
Currently serving as the Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, Kane also reminisced about his early days with WWE and his first unforgettable meeting with Vince McMahon.
"Yeah, I'll never forget my first meeting with Vince McMahon... He brought up the Isaac Yankem character. He asked if I had ever been afraid to go to the dentist. Then he says, 'I have this idea for a character — a wrestling dentist: Isaac Yankem. I yank 'em, get it?’” Kane recalled, chuckling at the memory. “Then he does that classic Vince laugh... and I was mortified!”
From being introduced as an evil dentist to becoming one of WWE’s most feared and beloved superstars, Kane’s journey remains etched in the hearts of wrestling enthusiasts worldwide. Though a return looks unlikely, his impact and presence in the wrestling world remain eternal.
