Mangalore, Jan 31:
The sixth and final day of the famous Kodial Theru or Mangalore Car Festival witnessed jubilant crowds celebrate 'Okkuli' here on Tuesday January 31.

The devotees, young and old enjoyed the festival thoroughly, with a riot of colours dotting their gleeful faces.

On Monday, the fifth day, devotees pulled ‘Brahma Ratha’ bearing the deities till the end of Car Street and back to the temple premises.

On Tuesday, devotees had fun sprinkling colored water on one another. People enjoyed dancing through out the day to the blaring music from various vehicles accompanying the palanquins carrying the deities, which were taken in a procession, and bathed in a lake at Shrinivasa Patshala Compound, before being taken back to the temple.

The flag is also lowered on this day to mark the end of the Car Festival.
