Mumbai, Aug 12: Superstar Hrithik Roshan says fans are in for a thrilling ride with his highly anticipated action film "War 2", co-starring NTR Jr..

Reprising his role as Kabir, Hrithik promises a deeper, more emotionally charged version of the beloved spy character from the original blockbuster.

Reflecting on the overwhelming response to his performance in 2019’s "War", Hrithik said the audience’s love reminded him of the praise he received for iconic roles in "Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai", "Dhoom 2", and "Krrish".

“This time I’m coming back with Kabir, and it’s such a joy to play that character again. He’s more intense now, caught in an even deeper emotional dilemma. ‘War 2’ is going to be something unmissable,” Hrithik shared.

A Gruelling Yet Rewarding Journey

Hrithik opened up about the physical toll the shoot took on him, revealing he battled through injuries during filming. Despite the setbacks, he said the love from fans made it all worthwhile.

“While filming, there were moments I asked myself if all this pain was worth it,” Hrithik said. “Now, seeing the anticipation and support from the audience – absolutely, it’s worth it.”

What to Expect from ‘War 2’

Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films, "War 2" is part of the expanding YRF Spy Universe, which also includes hits like Pathaan and Tiger 3. The film marks NTR Jr.’s Bollywood debut, while Kiara Advani joins the star-studded cast as the female lead.

"War 2" is being positioned as a pan-India and global release, with screenings planned in Hindi and Telugu across Dolby Cinema locations in North America, the UK, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and beyond.

The high-octane action entertainer is set to release in theatres on August 14, just ahead of India’s Independence Day, in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.

With two powerhouse performers—Hrithik and NTR—sharing screen space for the first time, and Ayan Mukerji steering the vision, "War 2" is shaping up to be one of 2025’s biggest cinematic events.
