Kadaba: Subramanya police nab theft accused in swift operation

Kadaba, Aug 21: In a swift operation, Subramanya police arrested a man accused of stealing from the office of a Milk Producers’ Cooperative Society and an adjacent shop at Ainekidu bus stand in Kadaba taluk.

The theft came to light on Monday, and a case was registered at the Subramanya police station. Acting swiftly, a team led by SI Karthik traced the accused and arrested Satish (40) of Manjeshwar on Wednesday. The prompt action by station officer Karthik Katarki and his team has earned appreciation from the public.

Police traced the accused with the help of a liquor sachet he had discarded. With assistance from a local bar worker in Subramanya, they apprehended him and recovered Rs 3,057 in cash.

The accused was produced before the Sullia court.
