Dharmasthala case: ‘Maskman’ arrested by SIT for giving false information

Mangaluru, Aug 23: In connection with the Dharmasthala case, where allegations were made about multiple bodies being buried, the SIT officials have arrested ‘Maskman’, the complainant, on charges of providing false information. He will be produced before the Beltangady court by the SIT officials at 11 am on Saturday, August 23.

According to sources, SIT chief Pranav Mohanty subjected the complainant to an intense interrogation from 10 am on August 22 till 5 am on August 23. Following the inquiry, it was established that the complaint was false, leading to his arrest.

SIT sources have further hinted that a major development in the case is likely on August 23.
