Mangaluru, Aug 24: A major accident was narrowly averted near Pilikula Herbarium and Botanical Museum on the outskirts of Mangaluru when a car lost control and rammed into two bikes, a scooter, and an electric pole.

According to witnesses, the driver lost control of the car, which then crashed into parked vehicles — two motorbikes and a scooter — and finally hit a light pole with considerable force. The impact was so strong that one of the parked cars was pushed onto a nearby compound wall.

Despite the severity of the collision, the driver fortunately escaped without serious injuries. The scooter and bikes were heavily damaged, but no casualties were reported.

The car involved in the accident reportedly belongs to a local resident named Vishwanath. It was Vishwanath himself who lost control and rammed into the vehicles and pole.

Police personnel from Kavoor police station and the Baikampady traffic division arrived at the scene and began an investigation. Further details are awaited as authorities continue to assess the damages and circumstances leading to the incident.
