Mangaluru, Aug 26: The milestone celebration of Tulu’s premier comedy TV show Private Challenge completing 200 episodes was held in grandeur at Swasthika Waterfront. The event, hosted by Daijiworld TV24x7, brought together artistes, technicians, sponsors, and well-wishers who have been part of the show’s successful journey.

The celebration began with a floral welcome by Melvyn Rodrigues, director of operations, and Alexis Castelino, director of marketing. NRI entrepreneur Sunil D’Souza (Muscat), Mumbai-based businessman Alwyn Sequeira, and Raghavendra Holla graced the occasion as chief guests.

Congratulating the comedy duo, Sunil D’Souza said, “Both Aravind Bolar and Walter Nandalike created history with Private Challenge, a feat not easy to achieve. Beyond their comedy chemistry, they have brought smiles to thousands of sad and depressed faces while reflecting the struggles of the common man through their skits.”

Raghavendra Holla lauded Daijiworld TV’s efforts, saying, “Daijiworld Media has always understood the pulse of its viewers. With unique programmes like Private Challenge, it has earned a strong place in society. At Swasthika, we are happy to host such a historic moment, and we wish them continued success.”

On behalf of Daijiworld management, the chief guests felicitated Aravind Bolar and Walter Nandalike for achieving the remarkable milestone of 200 episodes and 200 characters.

Recalling the journey, Aravind Bolar said, “The show began unexpectedly with a mimic voice by Prashanth C K. Soon, it became a sensation, with the public themselves suggesting characters and subjects. That motivation carried us through 200 episodes.”

Walter Nandalike added, “Aravind Bolar was the star attraction of Private Challenge. Audiences eagerly waited every Sunday for his new getups. Gradually, I too became part of the show, and together we formed a perfect combination. I thank our directors, technical team, sponsors, and co-actors—without them, this milestone would not have been possible.”

The event also honoured the behind-the-scenes team. Directors Melvyn Rodrigues (Operations) and Alexis Castelino (Marketing) felicitated makeup artiste Dinesh Attavar, while HR director Ronald Nazareth honoured the technical crew. Citations for Bolar and Nandalike were read by Manasa Madival and Lavanya S. Prashanth CK compered the event. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by production director Stany Bela.

DJ Robin entertained the gathering with a few upbeat and classy numbers.
