Udupi, Aug 27: Adding a festive sparkle to Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, a spectacular ‘Gerate Ganesha’ has been unveiled at the diamond jewellery section of the renowned Abharan Jewellers in Udupi.
This extraordinary artwork has been crafted by noted artists Venky Palimar, Srinath Manipal, and Ravi Hirebettu. The unveiling ceremony was performed by Mahesh Kamath, owner of Abharan Jewellers, on the occasion of the Gauri festival.







The towering idol, nearly 9 feet tall, has been meticulously created using over 500 coconut shells. Its intricate design and cultural symbolism have already drawn the admiration of onlookers.
The installation will remain open for public viewing at the store for the next 10 days, inviting devotees and art enthusiasts alike to witness this rare blend of tradition and creativity.
The ceremony was attended by Ajith Nayak, Saleem, Yogish, Raghavendra Shettigar, marketing department head Dinesh Shettigar, and staff. Raghavendra Nayak compered the programme.
