Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru

Bengaluru, Aug 27: The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF), which markets its products under the Nandini brand, is set to diversify its range by launching lactose-free milk, buffalo milk, and protein-rich variants in the coming months.

According to KMFthe move is aimed at meeting changing consumer preferences and keeping pace with competition in the dairy sector. “There is strong demand for lactose-free milk and protein-based products. Buffalo milk also has a large market, especially in North Karnataka. We are working to expand procurement and introduce these products soon,” sources from KMF said.

Protein shakes and sugar-free sweets are also being developed to cater to health-conscious consumers, particularly younger demographics. In addition, KMF’s research wing is preparing at least ten new savoury items to strengthen its product line.

The new offerings are currently in the trial phase and are expected to reach the market by the end of September.
