New York, Aug 28: Hollywood star Anne Hathaway had a brief scare on the sets of her much-awaited film The Devil Wears Prada 2, when she tripped and fell while shooting a scene in New York City.

The 41-year-old actress, who reprises her role as Andy Sachs in the sequel to the 2006 fashion drama, was filming in a residential neighbourhood when the heel of her silver-studded strappy shoe reportedly snapped, causing her to tumble down a few steps.

Photos from the set showed Hathaway dressed in a chic pleated skirt, sheer top, oversized sunglasses and heels, capturing the trademark elegance of her character. Crew members rushed to her aid, but Hathaway bounced back immediately, assuring everyone, “I’m fine.”

It remains uncertain whether the fall was scripted or an on-set mishap. However, fans praised her professionalism after clips of the incident went viral on social media.

The sequel brings together the iconic cast of Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, alongside newcomers Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, Simone Ashley, Kenneth Branagh, and Pauline Chalamet. Directed by David Frankel, The Devil Wears Prada 2 is slated for release on May 1, 2026.
