Mumbai, Aug 28: Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja made a vibrant public appearance together during Ganpati Visarjan, putting weeks of divorce speculation firmly to rest. The couple, who have been married for over three decades, were seen dancing joyfully and posing for family photos, offering a clear message that all is well in their marriage.

Sunita shared moments from the festive occasion on Instagram, posting a picture alongside Govinda, their son Yashvardhan, her mother, and actress Manisha Koirala. Captioning the post simply with “Ganpati Bappa Morya” and a red heart and folded hands emoji, the gesture appeared to celebrate both devotion and togetherness.

The couple’s united presence comes in response to widespread rumours of a possible separation. Dismissing the chatter, Sunita addressed the media directly: “You’ve come for Ganpati or for the controversy? Hasn’t the media been slapped in the face seeing us together like this? If something was wrong, you’d see distance. My Govinda is mine—no power, divine or evil, can separate us.”

Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, also weighed in to clarify the situation. Speaking to reporters, he acknowledged that while Sunita had previously filed documents in court—referring to a 2024 case at Bandra Family Court—the matter was quickly resolved. “There is no divorce. Everything is back to normal. Someone has dug up old news to create drama,” he said.

Sinha further emphasized that there has been no recent development in the matter and that the couple is now on good terms. He promised an official media confirmation soon to put lingering speculation to rest.
