Chennai, Aug 29: Tamil actor Vishal and actress Sai Dhanshika, who had earlier announced their wedding date as August 29, 2025, are now officially engaged. The intimate engagement ceremony took place today at Vishal’s residence in Chennai, in the presence of close friends and family.

Vishal took to social media to share dreamy pictures from the occasion, where the couple looked radiant in traditional attire. The photos included glimpses of their engagement rings and a joyful family portrait.

In his heartfelt post, Vishal wrote, “Thank you to all my lovely friends from every corner of this universe for your warm wishes and blessings on my special birthday. I'm thrilled to announce the wonderful news of my engagement with @saidhanshika, surrounded by our families. Feeling grateful and blessed. Always seeking your blessings and positive vibes.”

At the Yogi Da Press Conference earlier this year, the couple had openly spoken about their relationship and marriage plans. Dhanshika, recalling their bond, said, “I have known Vishal for the past 15 years. He has always treated me with respect. When I was in trouble, he stood by me. It was only recently that we started talking and realized we wanted to get married. I just want him to be happy. I love you, Vishal.”

Vishal, introducing his bride-to-be, had said, “My marriage is fixed. Dhanshika is a wonderful person. God always saves the best for the last, and He has saved her for me. We are going to lead a lovely life together.”

However, despite their initial announcement, the wedding has now been postponed. Vishal confirmed that the marriage will not take place on August 29 as planned, due to the pending completion of the Nadigar Sangam building construction.
