Washington, Sep 1: US President Donald Trump on Monday brushed aside rumours about his health, insisting he has “never felt better” in his life.
The remarks came in response to a Truth Social post by conservative commentator DC Draino, who accused the media of double standards. “Joe Biden would go multiple days without public appearances and was called ‘sharp’, while Trump disappears for 24 hours and the media freaks out,” the post read. Trump replied with, “NEVER FELT BETTER IN MY LIFE”, also claiming Washington DC had become a “crime-free zone.”

Speculation about Trump’s health flared online with the hashtag #TrumpIsDead trending on X, after the White House released a blank schedule last week. Trump attempted to quash the chatter by sharing a golf photo on Saturday, which some users still labelled “fake.”
Vice President JD Vance also addressed the rumours, stressing that Trump was “fit and energetic” but noting that “terrible tragedies can’t be ruled out.” He added that his 200 days as VP had been “on-the-job training” should the need arise.
The speculation was further amplified when The Simpsons creator Matt Groening jokingly tied the show’s end to Trump’s eventual death, saying there would be “dancing in the streets” — a remark that quickly went viral.
Health concerns about Trump first emerged earlier this year when bruises and swelling were spotted on his hands and legs. The White House attributed the marks to “frequent handshaking” and aspirin use, while confirming in July that the 79-year-old President suffers from chronic venous insufficiency, a vein condition causing swelling.
