US man charged with killing pregnant girlfriend on due date

Washington, Sep 1: In a chilling crime, a 30-year-old man in Ohio allegedly conspired to murder his pregnant girlfriend on the very day she was due to give birth.

According to prosecutors, Kayvon Warren hired two friends, Robert Ervin and Lamar Morris Suggs, to carry out the killing of 26-year-old India Kinamore at her Colerain Township home on Mar 4, 2023. Shockingly, he had even requested bereavement leave from work before the murder, The New York Post reported.

“This should have been one of the happiest days of India’s life. Instead, the father of her child conspired with two others to kill her,” Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich said, adding that justice would be sought for both the mother and baby.

Investigators said Warren was driven by financial struggles and his relationship with another woman. He had allegedly pressured Kinamore to have an abortion, which she refused. Prosecutors said the trio staged the killing as a burglary gone wrong, breaking into her home around 6 am and fatally shooting her.

Following extensive interviews and analysis of phone and financial records, Warren and his two accomplices were indicted. They now face charges of aggravated murder, burglary, and felony assault. Ervin and Suggs also face weapons charges.

Warren is being held without bail, while Ervin’s bail has been set at $300,000. If convicted, all three could face life in prison.
