Mangaluru, Sep 1: The delivery of the Skoda Kodiaq and Kylaq to customers took place at the Chilimbi showroom on Monday, September 1.
The brand-new Skoda Kodiaq was purchased by Nigel Denver Saldanha, originally from Balmatta and now residing in Mudigere, where he owns a coffee plantation in Chikkamagaluru. Another Skoda Kodiaq was purchased by Madanthyar’s renowned Nuthan Cloth Store owner James Prakash Rodrigues.


























Kiran Suvarna, sales head for Mangaluru, Udupi, and Shivamogga, handed over the keys to Nigel Saldanha and James Rodrigues followed by a celebratory cake-cutting ceremony.
Team leader Usha Shetty handed over the keys of Skoda Kylaq to customer Felix Britto and his family from Upper Bendur – Mangaluru.
About Skoda Kodiaq
The Skoda Kodiaq is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine that delivers 201 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission, offering smooth performance and efficiency.
An all-wheel drive (4x4) system comes as standard, ensuring stability and traction across different terrains. The SUV is available in two variants – Sportline and Selection L&K – catering to different preferences in styling and features.
On the exterior, the Kodiaq features updated bumpers, LED headlamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, C-shaped LED tail-lamps, roof rails, and an illuminated front grille, giving it a bold and modern look.

About Skoda Kylaq
The Skoda Kylaq is a sub-compact SUV that stands out for its strong performance, spacious interior, and high safety standards. Powered by a 1-litre TSI petrol engine, it delivers 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque, paired with either a manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission in higher trims. With a 446-litre boot and a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating, the Kylaq balances practicality, safety, and driving comfort.
On the outside, the SUV features LED headlights, DRLs, and tail lamps, complemented by a glossy black grille with a 3D rib design and stylish 17-inch wheels. Skoda’s modern design language is evident throughout, with a bold stance, high ground clearance, and a clean rear design showcasing the new wordmark.
Inside, the cabin offers a dual-tone black and gray interior with a dual-spoke steering wheel and fabric upholstery. It also provides power windows, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, and thoughtful additions like a cooled glovebox. Practicality is enhanced by a split-folding rear seat and a usable loading lip, making the boot space more versatile.
Higher trims bring additional features such as rear AC vents, cruise control, an air purifier, and a 360-degree camera, further elevating comfort and convenience. Safety remains a highlight with six airbags, including front side and curtain airbags, ESC, and ABS with EBD.
Adding to Skoda’s signature ‘Simply Clever’ touches, the Kylaq comes with thoughtful details like a ticket holder on the windscreen and a phone pocket on the seatback, enhancing day-to-day usability.
