Mumbai, Sept 2: Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan, last seen in Singham Again, has voiced her concern over the ongoing flood disaster in North India and called on her followers to step up and help those affected. On Tuesday, the actress took to her Instagram Stories to share a heartfelt message for the victims of the floods that have caused widespread devastation across multiple states.
"My prayers are with everyone affected by the floods up North. May relief and strength reach you at the earliest," Kareena wrote. She went on to highlight the scale of the crisis, saying, "The floods have claimed lives, uprooted homes and shattered livelihoods to say the least. For those who can, please support trusted relief funds and join local aid efforts."

Northern India has been reeling under the impact of torrential rains, cloudbursts, and landslides. Cities like Varanasi, Manali, and Delhi have seen severe flooding, with roads submerged and residential areas underwater. The states of Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, and Punjab are among the hardest hit.
In Jammu & Kashmir, a landslide near Vaishno Devi following flash floods reportedly claimed 30 lives. Widespread network outages left many residents cut off from communication, compounding the crisis. Relief teams, including the J&K Police, NDRF, SDRF, the Indian Army, and local volunteers, have so far evacuated more than 3,500 people and are working to restore critical infrastructure.
Punjab is facing what officials describe as the worst flooding in recent history, with 29 people dead and thousands displaced. Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh have also witnessed massive landslides and destruction following multiple cloudbursts. The intense rainfall across the Western Himalayas has been linked to rising regional temperatures, which are allowing the atmosphere to hold more moisture and unleash more severe downpours.
As relief operations continue across the region, Kareena Kapoor’s message stands in solidarity with those affected and serves as a call to action for others to support recovery efforts in whatever way they can.
