Udupi, Sep 4: On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, the office of the deputy director of the school education department, Udupi district, Rajathadri Manipal, announced the list of teachers selected for the district-level best teacher awards 2025-26. The awards recognize excellence and dedication among educators in lower primary, higher primary, and high school sections.

Higher primary section: Shekar Kumar, head teacher, Government Higher Primary School, Heskattur, Kundapur; Vina, assistant teacher, Government Higher Primary School, Hangarakatte, Brahmavar; Ramani, head teacher, Government Model Higher Primary School, Nandikoor, Udupi; Thimmappa Ganiga, head teacher, Government Higher Primary School, Kanchikanu, Byndoor; H Prabhavathi, head teacher, Government Higher Primary School, Kadbettu-Mala, Karkala.

High school section: Shashishankar H M, assistant teacher, Government Pre-University College (High School Section), Bajagoli, Karkala; N Nataraj Upadhyay, art teacher, H V H Pre-University College (High School Section), Innanje, Udupi; Jagadish K, physical education teacher, Karnataka Public School, Brahmavar; Santhosh, assistant teacher, Ramsan Government High School, Kandloor, Kundapur; Jagadish Shetty, assistant teacher, Janatha High School, Hemmadi, Byndoor.

The best teacher award is conferred annually to honor educators who have made significant contributions to academics, extracurriculars, and overall student development in their respective institutions.
