Bengaluru: St Charles Women’s PU College inaugurates its NSS unit

Bengaluru, Sep 6: St Charles PU College proudly inaugurated its National Service Scheme (NSS) unit, in the presence of over 1,300 students who gathered to witness this landmark occasion on September 4.

The visionary force behind the initiation, Dr Sr Nancy, principal, was hailed as the architect and guiding spirit of the event. The unit was formally launched by K M Venkatesha Gowda, NSS coordinator, Bangalore division, in the presence of distinguished guests of honour Blessina Daniel, UNESCO (CUCAI) Delhi executive member & founder of Ally Joe Foundation, and Lion Shaji Kunnath, president, Lions Club (Anubandha).

The event drew strength from the academic leadership of Sr Elizabeth Leo, vice-principal & NSS program officer, and Mary Medona D’Couto, lecturer in English & NSS programme officer, whose committed guidance helped transform the vision into reality.

Highlights included the unveiling of the NSS logo and a stirring skit by volunteers that brought alive the NSS motto ‘Not Me, But You.’ On this historic day, 100 volunteers were inducted, pledging to serve with dedication and compassion.

The inauguration marked a defining moment as St Charles PU College embraced the NSS spirit youth empowered for service, leadership, and nation-building.
