Daijiworld Swara Sagara semi-finals: 11 talents to compete in intense semi-classical round

Udupi, Sep 7: The popular state-level singing reality show Daijiworld Swara Sagara, hosted by Daijiworld Udupi studio under the banner of Kishoo Enterprises, has reached a major milestone. After an exciting musical journey that kept audiences hooked for weeks, the show is now all set to enter its much-awaited semi-final stage, which will be aired from Sunday September 7.

The audition round witnessed overwhelming participation from across the district and state. After rigorous screening by the expert jury, 40 participants were shortlisted for the studio round. Over the past weeks, these singers have enthralled audiences and impressed the judges with their vocal skills, versatility, and stage presence.

From this competitive group of 40 contestants, eleven standout performers have now secured their places in the semi-finals. The semi-final round will feature the theme semi-classical, a genre that demands not only vocal mastery but also a deep understanding of classical nuances, making it both a challenge and an opportunity for the contestants to demonstrate their true potential.

The eleven semi-finalists are: Mamatha Kalladka (Bantwal, Dakshina Kannada), Bhavyashree Achar (Barkur, Udupi), Melona Clisha (Mangaluru, Dakshina Kannada), Madhura Shenoy (Mangaluru, Dakshina Kannada), Aditya Hegde (Udupi), Snehith Surendran (Mangaluru, Dakshina Kannada), Karthik (Soraba, Shivamogga), Aishwarya Jogi (Hebri, Udupi), Yashas Rao (Derebail, Dakshina Kannada), Bhoomika Hegde (Mangaluru, Dakshina Kannada), and Mohit Bhat (Brahmavar, Udupi).

These contestants, representing districts including Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Shivamogga, reflect the diverse musical landscape of Karnataka. Each of them has demonstrated unique talent, and their performances have been met with praise from both the judging panel and audiences alike.

The semi-finals promise to be a treat for music enthusiasts. With the semi-classical theme, participants will be tested on their ability to balance technical precision with emotive expression. For many of these young singers, this round could be the stepping stone to a promising musical career.

Adding to the excitement, Daijiworld Swara Sagara recently completed 50 successful episodes. Along this journey, the show has explored multiple musical themes and genres through unique rounds such as Madhura Sawarsagara, Sugama Swarasagara, Arpana Swarasagara, Janapada Swarasagara, Yugala Geethe, and Manodharma Swarasagara. Each of these rounds tested the participants’ creativity, adaptability, and range, ultimately shaping them into stronger performers.

All the rounds have been judged by noted musician Yashwanth M G and anchored by ace host Alwyn Andrade, whose engaging style has added to the charm of the show.
