Bengaluru, Sep 20: Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has announced a reduction in the prices of select Nandini milk products, calling it a Dasara gift for consumers. The revised rates will come into effect from September 22, following the Central government’s revision of Goods and Services Tax (GST) slabs.

KMF managing director Shivaswamy, briefing reporters in Bengaluru, clarified that the price cut applies only to Nandini milk products, while rates of milk and curds will remain unchanged.

New price list of Nandini products (in Rs):

  • Nandini ghee (1000 ml pouch): 650 → 610

  • Butter – unsalted (500 ml): 305 → 286

  • Paneer (1000 g): 425 → 408

  • Good Life milk (1 litre): 70 → 68

  • Cheese (1 kg): 480 → 450

  • Processed cheese: 530 → 497

  • Ice cream – vanilla tub (1000 ml): 200 → 178

  • Ice cream – family pack (5000 ml): 645 → 574

  • Ice cream – chocolate sundae (500 ml): 115 → 102

  • Ice cream – mango naturals (100 g): 35 → 31

The Central government, on September 3, had announced major changes in GST, scrapping the 12% and 28% slabs and retaining only 5% and 18%. With this revision set to take effect from September 22, states were directed to pass on the benefits to consumers. Acting on these instructions, KMF has lowered the prices of Nandini products.
