It's always advisable to eat slowly and and never to bite more than one can chew. Also, eating slowly helps produce enough saliva a liquid produced in the mouth to keep the mouth wet which helps to Solow food easily.

First time coming across such unusual incident. While eating we must keep a glass of water and also intake food in smaller quantity and munch it slowly. some people are in a haste or hurry to complete the process. Also the quantity at a time should not be more than on can chew to produce enough saliva to slip the intake easily. R.I.P.🙏

Very unfortunate; chances of dying by choking on food is extremely rare; he could have been saved if someone knew the immediate firstaid measures like thumping hard between the shoulder blades or the Heimlich maneuver to dislodge the stuck food particle!

Ganesh mangalore, what you say is true. But sometimes things happen that cant be avoided.May be he got a cough all of a sudden and omlette got stuck at throat .and he got choked. One cant plan everything .Best if he got choked was instead of taking to doctor first to hold him upside down and put finger in throat and make airway free.Three minutes lack of oxygen to head and you are lost.later they could take to doctor.May his soul rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathies to his family.

The Heimlich manuovere is designed to help removal of foreign bodies causing as n obstruction in the respiratory tract. Have used it to good effect and taught it as well. A simple procedure that can and does save lives. Also we take a four minute l oxygen deficiency to cause irreversible brain damage. Hypothermia will increase the time available for rescue.

Very sad incident. An omlette is not an hard food. its usually oily on the surface so very unusual. The quantity that is put down the throat should be a big one to choke. If our mind is focussed on what we eat, these mishaps generally do not happen.
