Mangaluru: Rangoli competition held at Srinivas University, Institute of Aviation Studies

Mangaluru, Sep 22: The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, organised Kalakari Rangoli Contest on  September 20 at the Aviation Auditorium, Hampankatta campus.

The event witnessed an enthusiastic response with 77 teams from BBA Aviation Management, Aviation & Logistics Management, Aviation Travel & Tourism Management, actively participating and showcasing their creativity through vibrant rangoli designs. The contest was held under the theme “A Canvas of Heritage on the Floor”, reflecting India’s cultural richness and heritage.

The contest was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, Anjana T V, head of the department and event coordinator, along with the cooperation of all faculty and staff members of the Institute.

After a spirited competition, the winners were announced. The first place was secured by Pragathi Prakash Acharya and Chaithra K of I Year BBA Aviation Management. The second place was jointly won by Deeksha Puthran and S Shivani of I Year BBA Aviation Management, and Arun and Kanugodu Meghana of II Year BBA Aviation Management. The third place was shared by Sanjana and Krishnapriya of II Year BBA Aviation Management, along with Nithya G and Merlyn Juje Fernandes of II Year BBA Aviation Management.

The event not only highlighted the artistic talents of the students but also fostered teamwork, cultural appreciation, and campus vibrancy, making it a memorable celebration of creativity and tradition.
