Udupi: Bike rider killed in hit-and-run accident at Uchila

Udupi, Sep 30: An unidentified vehicle collided with a two-wheeler on NH 66 at Uchila on Tuesday September 30, resulting in the death of the bike rider on the spot.

The deceased, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, was riding a Puttur-registered bike and was heading from Udupi towards Mangaluru when the collision occurred. Due to the severe impact, the rider was thrown onto the road and sustained fatal injuries.

Social worker Jamaluddin Uchila, along with Hamid from Muloor, Rayees, Razak, Anwar Koteswara, and Sadiq Padubidri, assisted in shifting the body to the mortuary.

Padubidri police visited the scene and are investigating the case.
