Kanpur, Oct 4: Australia A fast bowler Henry Thornton has been hospitalised in Kanpur after suffering from a suspected case of food poisoning during the ongoing One-Day series against India A, according to reports.
Thornton reportedly complained of severe stomach infection after consuming food at the team hotel and was admitted to Regency Hospital for treatment. Sources said he had mild gastro symptoms before arriving in Kanpur, which worsened over time.

Following the incident, the Australian team management revised its dietary plan as a precautionary step. Three other players also suffered similar issues but were not hospitalised.
Meanwhile, Australia A defeated India A by nine wickets in the rain-hit second One-Day match, levelling the three-match series 1-1. Tilak Varma top-scored for India A with an impressive 94, while McKenzie Harvey (70 not out) and Cooper Connolly (50) led Australia A to victory.
The final match of the series will be played on Sunday.
