Mangaluru: Accused who evaded court for seven years arrested by Kavoor police

Mangaluru, Oct 18: Kavoor police have successfully arrested a man who had been evading court appearances for nearly seven years.

The accused, 60-year-old Dharmaraj, a resident of Jyothi Nagar in Kavoor, was wanted in a case registered at Kavoor police station in 2018. Despite repeated summons, he failed to appear before the court, leading to the issuance of an LPC warrant against him.

Acting on precise information, ASI Chandrashekar Sanil, HC Balakrishna, and PC Chandrashekarappa apprehended Dharmaraj near Moolki Pakikere, Kemral.

He was produced before the 1st additional senior civil judge, who remanded him to judicial custody until October 29.
