Karnataka Christian Community Development Corporation launches welfare schemes, official web portal

Bengaluru, Oct 18: The Karnataka Christian Community Development Corporation (KCCDC) launched a series of new welfare schemes and unveiled its official web portal — https://kccdclonline.karnataka.gov.in/Portal/ — at an event held at KMDC Bhavan, Seshadripuram, on October 17.

Minister for Waqf and Minority Welfare, B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan, inaugurated the event and reaffirmed the government of Karnataka’s commitment to ensuring equal opportunities and inclusive progress for all sections of society.

He stated, “Our chief minister has established dedicated corporations to empower marginalized communities through targeted welfare programmes. The KCCDC is a vital step in supporting the Christian community — especially those who are socially and economically weaker — and in promoting the development of their institutions. I am confident that the Rs 250 crore allocated by the chief minister will help uplift the community through various beneficial schemes.”

Political secretary to the chief minister, Naseer Ahmed, extended his best wishes and expressed confidence that the corporation’s schemes would play a crucial role in the overall development of the Christian community across Karnataka.

Chairman of KCCDC, Prof S Japhet, conveyed heartfelt gratitude to the chief minister, ministers, government officials, and Christian leaders for their unwavering support in establishing the Corporation. He assured that every initiative of the corporation would be implemented transparently and effectively to reach the intended beneficiaries. He also urged Christian churches, institutions, and leaders to help spread awareness about the corporation’s schemes to ensure that eligible individuals can avail of these benefits.

The event was attended by managing director Antony Maria Emmanuel, board of directors Sanjeev Kumar Jargirdar, Prashantha Rajan Jathanna, Harsha Melwin Lasrado, Sandeep K C, Joseph Kumar, G J Ravi Kumar, and Xavier, along with dignitaries including the chairman of the Minorities Commission, chairman of the Minorities Development Corporation, and the managing director of KMDC.
