Mangaluru, Oct 20: In a notable achievement for Mangaluru’s sporting community, Kian P C, a promising young shuttler from Cambridge School, Mangaluru, has secured a bronze medal in the under-15 mixed doubles category at the Yonex Sunrise State Badminton Championship, held in Davanagere from October 13 to 18.

Partnering with Adithi Sushanth, Kian delivered a commendable performance at the prestigious tournament, which drew top talent from across Karnataka. The pair demonstrated excellent coordination and resilience, earning their place on the podium in a highly competitive field.

This latest accolade marks Kian’s third consecutive bronze medal at state-level badminton tournaments — a significant milestone that highlights his consistency and growing stature in the sport.

Coaches and school authorities from Cambridge School expressed their pride in Kian’s achievement, calling it an inspiration for aspiring athletes in the region.
