TR Sadanand Bhat to lead reception committee for 26th Akhil Bharatiya Konkani Sahitya Sammelan

Ernakulam, Oct 29: TR Sadanand Bhat was elected unanimously as the chairman of reception committee of Akhil Bharatiya Konkani Sahitya Sammelan scheduled to be held at Ernakulam, Kerala. The decision was taken at the organising committee meeting held at Ernakulam, Kerala on Sunday, October 26.

Anand G Kamat was elected as the working president and TS Sarath Kumar as the general secretary.

Akhil Bharatiya Konkani Parishad is organising the 26th edition of Konkani Sammelan at Ernakulam on November 22nd and 23rd. The convention is expected to be attended by 300 delegates from Goa, 100 from Karnataka and 400 from Kerala and Maharashtra. The delegate fee to attend the Sammelan is Rs 100 for students, Rs 1000 for delegates choosing ordinary accommodation, Rs 3500 for executive accommodation and Rs 500 for those who do not want accommodation. November 5 is the last date to register as delegates for the Sammelan.

Konkani activists in Kerala are gearing up to make the Sammelan a grand success and are visiting all the districts of Kerala where there is presence of Konkani speaking community.
