New Delhi, Feb 15 (IANS) BJP MP Tarun Vijay has urged the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) to withdraw a soap ad that links "100 percent health" with "100 percent marks".
Terming the advertisement "bad in intent and negative in message", the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader said the campaign "puts students under severe pressure".
He said the students were being made to believe that they should get 100 percent marks "if they have to prove they are good".
"While good health is fine and can be termed as a desirable goal for all, still 100 percent marks are not," he said.
The ASCI said it would take a call on the MP's request soon.
