Navi Mumbai, Nov 1: The stage is set for a grand sporting spectacle at the DY Patil Stadium on Sunday, as India and South Africa face off in the much-awaited ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 final. Adding glamour to the high-voltage contest, popular playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan will enthrall the audience with a medley of her chart-topping hits, while a dazzling cultural extravaganza promises to light up the evening.
According to the International Cricket Council (ICC), Sunidhi will be joined by 60 dancers, with a special-effects fireworks display choreographed by renowned artist Sanjay Shetty. The mid-innings show will feature a laser and drone display along with 350 mast cast performers, creating a visual spectacle befitting the global finale.
Before the start of the match, Sunidhi will render the Indian national anthem, while Cape Town’s Tarynn Bank will sing the South African anthem, setting the tone for a memorable finale.
Expressing her excitement, Sunidhi Chauhan said, “It’s an honour to perform at the Women’s World Cup. With India in the final and fans filling the stands, I am sure the atmosphere will be electric. This will be a day we will all cherish for a long time.”

In the semi-final, India scripted one of the most remarkable chases in World Cup history. Chasing 338 against Australia, Jemimah Rodrigues (127)* and Harmanpreet Kaur (89) powered India to a famous win, marking the highest successful chase in a World Cup knockout match.
