Mumbai, Nov 5: Film enthusiasts will have to wait a little longer for Manish Malhotra’s much-anticipated romantic drama “Gustaakh Ishq”, starring Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Shaikh. Originally slated for release on November 21, the film will now hit theatres on November 28, 2025.

Announcing the new date on social media, the makers wrote, “Mark your calendars, ishq has a new date for y’all ?? #GustaakhIshq is now releasing on 28th November, 2025.”

A new motion poster accompanied the announcement, featuring a tender moment between the lead pair — Vijay gazing fondly at Fatima as she playfully blows bubbles his way. The romantic track “Ul Jalool Ishq” plays softly in the background, giving fans a glimpse of the film’s nostalgic tone.

Alongside the lead duo, the film also stars Naseeruddin Shah and Sharib Hashmi in key roles.

Set against the vintage charm of Old Delhi, the film’s teaser evokes strong retro romance vibes, blending old-world aesthetics with contemporary storytelling.

Produced under Manish Malhotra’s home banner, Stage5 Production, “Gustaakh Ishq” marks the celebrated designer’s first major venture as a producer. The film is directed by Vibhu Puri, with music by Vishal Bhardwaj, lyrics by Gulzar, and cinematography by Manush Nandan.

Reflecting on his transition into film production, Manish Malhotra said:
