Rome, Nov 8: Newly promoted Pisa finally celebrated its first Serie A win in 34 years, defeating Cremonese 1-0 on Sunday to end a decades-long drought at the top level of Italian football.
Midfielder Idrissa Touré netted the decisive goal in the 75th minute, heading in a precise cross from Mattéo Tramini to secure three crucial points. Pisa dominated much of the first half, while Cremonese pressed hard in the second but failed to equalise.

The victory was Pisa’s first in Serie A since May 1991, when they last beat Bari 1-0. The win lifts Pisa to 15th place, two points clear of the relegation zone, with one win, six draws, and four losses this season.
Cremonese, currently 10th, missed several chances to level the score. At the top of the table, Napoli, Inter Milan, AC Milan, and Roma remain separated by just one point, while Genoa, Verona, and Fiorentina occupy the relegation zone.
