Mumbai, Nov 11: Actress Krystle D’Souza shared her experience of portraying a more evolved version of her character Mona in First Copy Season 2, calling it both a creative challenge and a rewarding journey.
In an interview, Krystle said the new season allowed her to dive deeper into Mona’s emotions and maturity. “In Season One, Mona was just being introduced. But in Season Two, there’s a lot more depth to her. She’s calmer, more composed, and emotionally complex — which gave me so much more to explore as an actor,” she said.
The actress revealed that her biggest challenge was learning to slow down and adapt to her character’s composed nature. “Farhan Sir would often tell me, ‘Say everything half as fast.’ It helped me internalize Mona’s calm strength — something I hadn’t played before. It was a beautiful learning curve,” she added.

Speaking about her connection to the character, Krystle said, “I relate to Mona quite a lot. We’re both actresses and both believe deeply in people and in love. There’s a lot of me in her.”
First Copy Season 2, featuring Munawar Faruqui, Gulshan Grover, Saqib Ayub, Ashi Singh, Meiyang Chang, Inam Ul Haq, Raza Murad, and Nawab Shah alongside Krystle D’Souza, premiered on Amazon MX Player on November 5.
