Chennai, Nov 13: The much-anticipated horror comedy Sarvam Maya, directed by Akhil Sathyan and starring Nivin Pauly in the lead role, has officially completed shooting, the makers announced on Wednesday.
Sharing the news on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Nivin Pauly wrote,
“It’s a WRAP. Get ready to go ‘Delulu’ in theatres this Christmas. #SarvamMaya #SarvamMayaMovie #AkhilSathyan #Fireflyfilms #PrietyMukundhan.”
The film, which is slated for a Christmas 2025 release, has been generating significant buzz ever since its teaser dropped recently. The teaser shows Nivin’s character exploring every corner of a traditional Kerala house on a stormy night — peeking under beds, inspecting cupboards, and checking the ceiling — while muttering reassurances to himself. It then cuts to a lighter moment, showing him sharing a cheerful morning scene with Aju Varghese, hinting at the film’s blend of spooky and comic tones.

Alongside Nivin Pauly, Sarvam Maya stars Priety Mukundhan, who recently impressed audiences with her performance in Kannappa, as the female lead. Aju Varghese plays a key supporting role in the film.
Filming took place across major schedules in Ernakulam and Palakkad, Kerala, over the past few months. Director Akhil Sathyan, son of acclaimed filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad, is known for his critically praised directorial debut Paachuvum Albhuthavilakkum.
The film’s technical crew includes Justin Prabhakaran as the music composer, Rajeevan handling art direction, and Sharan Velayudhan Nair—celebrated for his work on Sookshmadarshini—as the cinematographer.
With Nivin Pauly headlining this unique horror-comedy after his upcoming turn as an antagonist in the Tamil film Benz, Sarvam Maya is shaping up to be one of the most exciting festive releases of the year for fans and film enthusiasts alike.
